Recovery is defined as a process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live self-directed lives, and strive to reach their full potential.

Hope, the belief that challenges and conditions can be managed or overcome, is foundational to recovery. A person’s recovery is built on his or her strengths, talents, coping abilities, resources, and inherent values. It aims to be holistic, addresses the whole person and their community, and is supported by peers, friends, and family members. Because recovery is a highly individualized process, recovery services and supports must be flexible to ensure cultural relevancy.

We believe that there are many paths to recovery and that, no matter the challenge, we all have the capacity to improve our lives and our relationships. We provide services that help people achieve optimal recovery by employing peer-based, trauma-informed, person-centered and evidence-based practices. Addiction is a chronic disease that can be managed but there is no treatment that will make addiction disappear. This is why we believe in a community approach to recovery.
